After a career in finance in New York City, Tony Grassi has spent the last 25 years as a volunteer for various non-profit organizations, primarily in the environmental arena. Tony currently serves on the Board of the Maine Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and is Chairman of the Board of the Butler Conservation Fund. Previously he has served as Chairman of the Board for American Rivers, the New Canaan Country School, his local Land Trust in Wilton CT, the Connecticut Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and the world-wide Board of The Nature Conservancy.  Additionally he and his wife, Sally, were founders of Horizons National Student Enrichment Program which operates summer programs for low income children on the campuses of independent schools and schools of higher learning. Tony still serves on that Board.
 
Prior to retiring in 1990, Tony worked for 20 years as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston. He served as a Captain in the US Army Medical Service Corps after having graduated from Princeton University and the Harvard Business School. Tony and Sally moved to Maine in 2004 and are fortunate to have both of their children and their five grandchildren living within 45 minutes of their home in Camden.
