CMG Director and COO Liz Smith will be heading to Shepherdstown, West Virginia this week for the American Conservation Film Festival (ACFF). Liz will be attending as a guest speaker and panelist for ACFF's Conservation Filmmaker Workshop, which is presented each year in conjunction with the festival. This two-day workshop gathers premimer industry experts to provide helpful insights for filmmakers and media producers of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
This year's ACFF kicks off on October 21 for three days filled with film screenings, discussion, and panels. On Saturday, October 22nd, Liz will be giving on a talk on Impact Filmmaking alongside Katie Schuler from Coral and Oak Studios. Then, on Sunday, October 23rd Liz will be part of the Industry Pitch Panel accompanied by David Elisco of Tangled Bank Studios; and Jeff Hertrick of National Geographic. The Panel will be listening to film pitches and providing feedback and guidance to emerging and established filmmakers.
This is the second year that Liz will be attending the ACFF on behalf of CMG, and she is thrilled to be a part of this engaging network of changemakers!
