Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Please ask Northeast Utilities and Hydro-Québec either to bury the entire project in New Hampshire or stop it altogether.
Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.
It is extremely important we do everything within our power to preserve the "NATURAL BEAUTY"of our incredible state! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

The only way to do the right thing is to talk about the COST CONSEQUENCES of an action.The Northern Pass is not the only opportunity to provide Hydro-Quebec power to Southern NE. The CT River Line is currently under utilized. Please protect your State.

Tourism is important to our state. I would not go visit a state to hike or snow shoe when I had large towers to look at instead of trees. Please make them bury the lines.

I love the way our mountains and norther lands look without power lines ruining the great experience of the great outdoors. The lines need to be buried and will ruin the views of future generations to come if they dont.

I vacation and visit NH often because of the beauty. I live in a state that you can't travel very far without seeing powerlines. They are every where. Don't destroy the natural beauty of the great state of NH. Once it is gone it is gone forever.

New Hampshire will receive no benefit by allowing Northern Pass to be built. Burying the lines will still create a wide corridor. See what the gas lines did in southern New Hampshire.
