Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Please ask Northeast Utilities and Hydro-Québec either to bury the entire project in New Hampshire or stop it altogether.
Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.
This beautiful state needs to perpetuate it's beauty and not give into anything that will hinder this!

I worked in energy before retirement, and I know that electric power can be transported economically without making New Hampshire look like Bayonne, NJ. NP's competitors do it now; NP can do it too, and without impacting our No.1 business, TOURISM!

I love this state and want to see the natural landscapes cherished. I moved here FOR the access to pristine wilderness. You will lose many people if this pass is allowed because we moved here to get away from city life. Keep NH pristine!

Creating a few jobs temporarily only creates a disaster for those of us who consider the mountains to be a spiritual place. SAY NO TO NORTHERN PASS- it’s a no brainer! Let another state disrupt their landscape. It is selfish to think this is good for us.

One of the few assets the north country has is the majestic beauty. Lines will do nothing to enhance the north country. And will not benefit the north country. Short term perhaps but not worth destroying the landscape for power to ma and ct.

I am a landowner whose property borders the current PSNH right of way. Just the proposal of the high tension lines has devalued my property. I have a very nice view now but if this is allowed I will not! Please protect NH! Bury the lines!
