Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Please ask Northeast Utilities and Hydro-Québec either to bury the entire project in New Hampshire or stop it altogether.
Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.
I care about NH and I want to stop the mis-management of electrical utilities in New Hampshire.

I have climbed in the White Mt range my whole life. Keeping this pristine and unobstructed is more important than the corporate profits. Bury lines. They did the same thing in the northern part of NJ where I live near the App Trail and it ruined the views.

i have been camping in NH since I was a small child. I know go camping and hiking every year with my son. it would be a great disservice to the national forest to mar the amazing mountain views with the Northern Pass

I grew up hear and every summer come back to hike the White Mountains. They're unique and important. The overhead lines are not necessary. Find an alternative.

Because we purchased land in a beautiful area up north overlooking Lake Francis and the surrounding mountains. We enjoy snowmobiling in the area. The towers will RUIN the landscape and destroy tourism, whch is all the north country has left.
