Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Please ask Northeast Utilities and Hydro-Québec either to bury the entire project in New Hampshire or stop it altogether.
Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.

Hydro Quebec: the way forward is simple: treat our land with respect, act like an enlightened business partner, and bury the lines. The NH landscape entrusted to us--which has inspired countless poets and artists--is not for sale.

Our beautiful mountains and forests are what brings people to NH to enjoy the the natural beauty of our state. NH will never be the same if these towers are allowed to be on the mountaintops.

We own property at 119 Old County Road, Clarksville, NH and we would be directly affected by towers. We prefer to STOP this all together it is not for NH. If for some reason it was to gain approval it should be underground or nothing.

Bury a second line from a chip burning plant(s) to aid the NH North country economy and provide valuable infrastructure for our forest industry. Charge per KW for the power on lines on our real estate.

NH is too small for this project. Seabrook was shoved down our throats years ago in the middle threatening our salt marshes and fishing industry. Now we are faced with another project for the benefit of other states. Send the power lines elsewhere.
